How we are paid

Economy Commercials may receive compensation when a visitor follows a link to an operator and completes a qualifying action. Depending on the programme, a qualifying action can be opening an account, making a first deposit, or continuing to play after registration. Payment can be a one off amount, a share of the operator's revenue from that account, or a mix of the two.

Which links are advertising links

Treat every link that goes to a casino as an advertising link. That includes the buttons in the ranked list, the button in the editor's choice panel and the offer links inside the comparison table. Those links carry the sponsored and nofollow attributes in the page source.

Links to regulators, self-exclusion schemes and support organisations are never advertising links, and we earn nothing from them. Neither are links between our own pages.

Whether payment affects what you see

Yes, in one respect, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Commercial availability affects inclusion. An operator with no programme available to us may not appear on a page at all, so the list you read is drawn from a pool shaped partly by commercial access.

Within a published list, the order comes from the criteria on the How We Rank page, and we do not accept payment to move one operator above another. We do not claim that compensation has no effect anywhere on the site, because that claim would be untrue while availability itself is commercial.

How scoring and commercial deals interact

The four ranking criteria are applied the same way to every listed operator, whatever the commercial terms behind it. Commercial value is not one of the criteria and does not adjust a score. Where a highly placed operator also happens to pay well, both facts are true at once and neither caused the other.

What advertising does not change for you

Following an advertising link does not change the offer you receive compared with going to the operator directly, unless the operator has published a specific exclusive offer and we have said so on the page. We do not add a fee, and we cannot alter an operator's terms. We do not confirm on the operator's behalf that pricing or bonus value is identical on every route, because that is their commercial decision and it can change.

Offers change

Every offer on this site is recorded as the operator states it on the date checked. Bonus amounts, wagering requirements, expiry windows, eligible games and payment restrictions can all change without notice, and a promotion can be withdrawn from your region entirely. Confirm the current terms on the operator site before you deposit. If our figure and theirs disagree, theirs is the one that applies.

What we do not do

• We do not write reviews to order or let an operator approve editorial copy.
• We do not present an advertising link as an editorial recommendation without ranking it under the published method.
• We do not claim to have tested a payout unless the test details are recorded and published.
• We do not state or imply a licence, an approval or a safety standard that we cannot trace to a primary source.
